Legacy of Love

Andrew Haselow

Andrew

Haselow

Andrew Haselow is someone I would like to honor. He is my husband. We’ve been together for 10 years and married for 5 of them. Two years into our marriage, we found out that I had an Astrocytoma brain tumor. The second I got off the phone with my neurologist, I called Andrew. He immediately left work and was home as fast as he could to figure out how he could support me, how he could help me, and how we were going to get through this together. I decided to immediately do surgery, he supported me. He took off work and never left my side. Post-surgery I lost some of my basic skills. He again never left my side. He taught me how to be me again. He supported me financially, physically, and most importantly emotionally. He drove me to my therapies and radiation appointments, he wiped my tears away when I lost my hair, and he never refused when I asked for chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce! He truly was my support person. And he continues to be that man today. He is the backbone that I sometimes need, he is the man who celebrates “no tumor recurrence” with me, he is the man who continues to support me. So, thank you Andrew for helping me be me again! I love you forever and ever!
