Al Klein

Family was extremely important to Al. He and his wife, Karen, met in college and were together for five years before they got married. They were together for more than thirty years. Al was extremely proud of his kids, Allie and Michael. They both had very special relationships with him. Michael had just turned 23 and Allie 26 when they lost their dad to brain cancer. Al was also passionate about sports and music. He was a loyal Yankees fan and a devoted fan of St. Johns basketball through good times and bad. Al taught himself how to play guitar. He revered Eric Clapton and John Lennon. In addition, Al was a highly respected marketer and researcher in business. He fought very hard to defeat brain cancer, but ultimately succumbed to this devastating disease. Not a day goes by that we don’t think about him. We miss Al terribly, but he will always be in our hearts.
