Barbara Wright

Barbara Wright (Barb) passed away on 6 February 2020 at her home in Converse Texas.
In May 2015 Barb was diagnosed with glioblastoma and a prognosis of 16 months. She fought courageously throughout the treatment, continuing to be an inspiration to her family, friends and medical professionals to surpass the original prognosis and lived for 4 years and 8 months.

Barb enjoyed making memories by living life to the fullest. She loved to experience new activities such as indoor skydiving, parasailing, driving a jet ski, camping trips, and going to see the ostrich/camel races.

Barb’s was most proud of her family. She dedicated her time to family by being at every gathering/function she was able to attend. As a proud mother, she shared her children’s accomplishments to any person that would listen.

As an adoptee, Barb cherished her relationships with her siblings. In July 2016, she was reunited with her 3 sisters and 1 brother. Together they formed a strong loving bond that did not diminish from the time apart. She understood the importance of family, she raised her 4 children and ultimately adopted 3 additional children. She loved all 7 of her children, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nephews and nieces.

Barb was an avid reader, enjoyed the theater, fishing and loved music, she even played the accordion, violin, and banjo. She was able to associate any word with a song and would start to sing no matter the people she was around or the venue she was in.

Barb had the sweetest disposition. She did not know any strangers and treasured the moments with her friends. Although this disease took her life, her spirit lives on through her family and friends.

Our lives will never be the same without her, we are Barb’s Believers.
