Barry Yant

Barry was the life of the party, always there when you needed him most. He was one who would do anything for his friends and family. Barry was a tree climber up until 2017 when he was diagnosed with this horrible disease. He was very active in his life; loving husband and father to three children who are most definitely his proudest accomplishments. Barry loved gardening and had a huge garden where many vegetables were produced. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman, he loved going to see theatre shows with his wife and friends, vacationing at the beach and traveling to many exotic countries on cruises. Barry was always a fighter and never gave up. He never accepted that his cancer was a death sentence and fought until there was no more that could be done. We all thrived on his energy and positivity even though we knew it would sadly come to an end. My stepfather never treated my brother or I as his stepchildren and would proudly say that he had three children. He taught me so much in life right up until the end. Simple things like being a good person to learning to water ski to using a snow blower. Barry was a legend in his own mind but when his death came and his friends and family came together to celebrate his life we were able to see just how many lives he truly touched. He will never be forgotten.
