Bobby Tanner was from Simpsonville SC and was married to his loving wife Linda for 52 years. He was a rancher and took great pride in his hay fields at the Double T Ranch. Bobby loved his Lord Jesus Christ and his family. Bobby had a special bond with his wife – his best friend – whom he shared hobbies with, and was the most supportive dad in his daughters’ interests. He loved animals and cared for his horses all his life. He loved rodeo. He was an inspiring and humble man with a mischievous grin. He was a man of few words, but people took notice of what he said.
Bobby was diagnosed with Glioblastoma on May 25, 2019. Bobby endured 2 brain surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation. He lost his fight a year to the day of his diagnosis on May 25, 2020 at his home.
In true cowboy fashion, we know he was able to leave this earth proclaiming “WOW…what a ride!”
Tanner’s Hope has been founded by his daughters to continue the fight against brain cancer, helping others in his memory.
