Casey McGuire

Casey’s biggest accomplishment was his son, Harrison. He was so excited to be a father, but brain cancer struck him shortly after his son’s birth. Casey earned a full scholarship to UNL in 2010. Casey’s favorite hobby was fishing – he would jump into the river to save a lure. He also loved wrestling, Nebraska football, and hanging out with his cousins and friends. His dream came true when his all time favorite NFL team, the Philadelphia Eagles, won the Super Bowl. Casey had a deep impact on people and loved helping others through their hard times. I think it kind of made him forget about his own if he could focus on other people. Casey had such a positive outlook going through his battle with brain cancer, he was sure he would beat it. Unfortunately, Casey lost his fight October 18, 2018. We love and miss you, Casey John McGuire.
