Charles Frank Nester (Dad) had been living the good life…..retired from the postal service, enjoying his grand kids, and driving his corvette. Stage IV glioblastoma wasn’t a part of his retirement plans. Surgery in March 2013 and follow on treatments really changed everything, but didn’t stop him from walking in the 2013 Head for the Cure 5K. That’s the kind of man he was….a giver, full of compassion, lover of banana splits, war movies (We Were Soldiers, Band of Brothers, Tombstone). We even shared a banana split a few days before he went to his home in glory. Yes Dad loved Jesus and constantly longed for His return. Instead he beheld the Face of His Majesty on September 17, 2014. He fought hard for 18 months plus to stay here for his loving wife, three sons, three grand kids, two brothers, four sisters, and Ranger (his pup). His legacy of faith in Christ lives on in all his family. To God be the glory!
