My husband, Dennis Sachtleben, was kind, loving, patient, and such a hard worker. He loved to fix things and had a special ability to understand how things worked. He loved to learn new things and at age 54 he took a class at the local junior college to learn how to use a metal lathe. Another passion that he had was boating. He was proud of our boat and the lake property that he worked so hard on to make a place for us to stay at during our summers. His favorite thing to say was “The worst day at the lake still beats the best day at the office!” But most of all he loved his family. He was blessed with two sons whom he was able to see both graduate from college, get married, and buy homes. Dennis loved babies and was able to see his first grandson in 2015. Sadly, he didn’t get to spend much time with him as his health declined. Dennis was a devout Lutheran who loved his Lord and Savior. He knew that he would go to heaven because he had been saved by grace! We miss him terribly, but will always have wonderful memories of the special person he was and how much better our lives were because he was a part of them.
