After 6 years of fighting, 5 brain surgeries, 3 rounds of chemo and 1 round of radiation, at age 60 Mike Charles passed away from a rare type of brain cancer, Oligodendroglioma. Mike was a college professor who worked at Pacific University in Oregon,
educating the next generation of teachers. He loved his wife, two daughters and his dog, Mr. Darcy. He loved traveling, the color green and the Phoenix Suns. Mike was a brother, uncle, husband, father and soon to be grandfather. He was vivacious and energetic. Mike faced his cancer the same way he faced life. He lives on through his family, wife, kids and two new grandchildren, including a grandson who was named for him. Mike is loved and missed by so many.
