My Grandpa was a good man. He was my hero, still is. He was a hard worker for most of his life. Whatever he did, he gave his best. He did many things in his life. He was a Korean War Veteran, mechanic, and brick mason. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa.
He had many hobbies, things he was good at. Motorcycle racing, calf-roping in rodeo’s, and golfing. He golfed on the Saturday before they found his tumors, which was a Tuesday. He even joked with the E.R. doctors saying he knew something was wrong because of his golf game. They found two brain tumors that day. From then on, he faced each day with bravery, dignity, strength and a sense of humor. Which I really admired him for.
He was officially diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme on November 27, 2013. We had prayed to God that he wouldn’t suffer, and he answered our prayers. It was 1:30am, December 8, 2013 that our Lord Jesus called Floyd to his heavenly home. We miss him terribly, but he will be with us forever in our hearts.
