Gary was welcomed into heaven on February 12, 2016, at the age of 75, after a courageous fight again glioblastoma multiforme. Throughout his battle, he kept his strong love of family and friends, and also his witty sense of humor. His concern was never for himself, but for his family and the children suffering from cancer. He was a devoted husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend. His tremendous sense of humor is greatly missed. Gary had the ability to make everyone feel like they were his favorite; all were special to him and we always felt loved. Gary lived his life in service to God, family, country and community. He was an Army veteran, MP, canine corp.; and a dedicated firefighter in Clinton Twp., MI. He would do anything and everything for anyone. Family time was very important to him. He is missed every day by so many. We walk in hope that a cure for this devastating disease will soon be found. We walk supporting the fighters, admiring the survivors, honoring the taken and never, ever giving up hope to find a cure for brain cancer
