My mom was everyone’s friend. To her family #1 as she was known was always the first called with good news or in a crisis. To her friends she was the center of the group and the life of the party. To my friends she was the coolest mom. The mom my friends would actually want to hang out with. To my children she will always be Mimi who showered them with love, gummy bears, blip blips (which are marshmallows), popsicles chocolates. To me she was the heart of the family. The And to my dad and me she was his everything. My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer around when my son Lennon was 6 months old. While undergoing surgery, radiation and over 3 years of Chemotherapy she watched my son Lennon for 12 months and my daughter Elsie for 18 months… That is my mom’s character in a nutshell. Her heart had the capacity and love to try and help everyone she came in contact with.
