Jim Daye

Jim Daye passed away on January 10, 2015 after a July 2013 diagnosis of stage 4 glioblastoma. Thanks to Dr Jing Wu, Dr Sivakumar Jaikumar, Sonja Henretty, and the UNC Hospital staff, Jim did not lose to cancer. In the words of Stuart Scott, “You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.” Jim definitely beat cancer, living his life with the hope, courage, optimism, and determination that characterized him his entire life. He is survived by his wife, Sandra.
