Jim Polacheck

Jim passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019, in Bonita Springs, FL. Beloved husband of Terri Polacheck; loving father of Caryn (Russell) Reese, Amy (Michael) Davidoff, Neil (Dana) Silverblatt, Adam (Michelle) Silverblatt and Rebecca Tanner (fiancé, Ofer Shalom); brother of Joanie (Henry) Kerns; dear grandfather of Benji and Blake Davidoff, Kayla, Isaac and Ezra Silverblatt and Kloe and Shay Silverblatt.

Jim was diagnosed with a glioblastoma in February 2013. Since that initial diagnosis he had three craniotomies, chemo, radiation, a clinical trial, and immunotherapy. After Jim’s third brain surgery in 2018, Jim had difficulty walking and with his short term memory. He also was diagnosed with chemo induced MDS. Jim lived every day to the fullest & continued to fight every day with the utmost grace and courage. He was very involved with the Brain Cancer Awareness 5K to raise money & awareness to fight this awful disease.
