Joel was a compassionate and caring family man. He was deeply in love with his wife, Tami, and would do whatever it took to help his two daughters. He was affectionately known as “papa” to his three granddaughters.

At work, he was a leader that inspired others and brought out the best in them. For the company he worked for, he opened 9 of their plants and was the head of their Dodge division. When problems occurred at any of the plants, he was flown in and had the problem solved within a week.
