What is there to say about this man, the man I was honored to call my dad above all things. He was my hero long before his cancer diagnosis. Dad came into my life and my 3 siblings lives when he began dating my mom. He was there for so many special moments in my life, but then again having him by my side was always a special moment. When dad was diagnosed with cancer his first response was “what are we going to do about it?” Those are words I will remember for the rest of my life. Dad went on to battle cancer for 2.5 years and gave it his all. He barely ever complained and took it all as it came to him. Although he was sick, he didn’t let that stop him from doing what he loved most, spending time with his family. His family was his everything whether it was his siblings and their families across the country, the people who lived with him, his grandchildren who he loved dearly or a friend that he considered family. The man was full of heart! I will forever be grateful for the love, support, and memories dad gave me during the time we had him. He will be missed until we all meet again.
