Our father was the kind of person who gave quietly but loved loudly. He worked hard his entire life, never asking for recognition, only wanting to take care of those around him. He had a rare gift—he could turn a stranger into a friend in minutes, and he never hesitated to help, even if it meant giving the very last dollar in his pocket.
He loved his family fiercely—his parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and extended family all held a special place in his heart. His friendships were meaningful and lasting. He showed us, through his actions, what humility, kindness, and generosity truly look like.
He is missed beyond words—missed in the quiet moments, in the laughter, in the spaces only he could fill. We carry him with us every day, in our hearts and in the values, he lived by. This run is for him. It honors his courage, his strength, and all that he endured in his fight with brain cancer. We run in his memory, and we run with his love.
