Judith Collins died peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a heroic 3-year battle with GBM. Judy graduated from Columbus North HS where she was an honors student, cheerleader & tennis player. She earned her degree at IU, where she was in the Chi Omega sorority. She earned an M.A in Counseling Ed from the University of Central Florida. She worked over 20 years as a Counselor & Assistant Principal for public schools in Orlando, Florida. Judy and her husband of 25 yrs, Earnest Collins, moved to her hometown in 2020 to care for her mom and be close to loved ones. She was known for her adventurous, fun-loving spirit, ready laughter, curiosity, caring heart and willingness to take on a new challenge at a moment’s notice. She participated in triathlons, “Muddy Buddy” races, & annual Turkey Trots. She enjoyed working on a wide variety of craft projects (quilting, knitting, embroidery). With her beautiful smile and welcoming hugs, she was always someone you looked forward to seeing.
