Kaelan “Brie” Escalante fought her battle twice with a brain tumor. Although the 2nd fight wasn’t won on this earth, we know she found her place in Heaven. It’s a beautiful thing to share kids. We may have shared a son, but she shared her heart with me. She was a joy to so many and has left a huge hole in our hearts, but we know we will be reunited again one day. Brie received the Keeping the Faith Award in Houston on October 8th, 2016. We all attended and were able to watch her walk the stage. We also completed the 5k together. Her legacy will live on in her children. We will always remember to live for Brie.
