My Aunt Kim Thompson was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma in March of 2021 and bravely fought until she passed away in September of 2022 at the age of 54. She was a ray of sunshine and she was so full of love for her family and friends. If she wasn’t at her river house with her feet in the water, soaking up the sun then, she was at home tending to her garden and spending time with her family. She could be stubborn and passionate, but approached life with a laid back personality. Some of my favorite memories were getting to her house, seeing her front door open, hearing the country music station playing from her TV, and knowing she was probably relaxing on her back porch just enjoying life. She is deeply missed every day by her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her sister, and her nieces and nephews but she will always live on in our love and memories of her.
