Laura was a dedicated employee of the American Cancer Society for 15 years and a volunteer/fundraiser/advocate for 10 years before that. She fought a hard 3+ year battle with glioblastoma. The team at Penn was simply amazing and made her feel so safe and important. Every visit was met with smiles in her distinct array of Disney Ears she wore for every doctor, infusion or MRI appointment. It was during the drives to and from that we realized the need for more funding of treatment, research, everything. Ever the advocate she inspires us still to do what we can to help future patients.
