Laurie is a beautiful soul that I had the honor of calling my wife. At the age of 49 she full filled a dream and enrolled in university. In 2014 she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing for Entertainment. She always wanted to write her baby sister’s story of her battle and loss to Retinablastoma at the age of 11. Unfortunately Laurie lost her battle to Glioblastoma Multiforme before she was able to do that. Two of her short stories can be found on smashwords.com. Laurie’s passions were her kids, counted cross stitch, quilting, and of course writing. She was a writer who did not like to read :). She loved the outdoors and she loved to garden. Lilacs are her favorite. For our 2nd anniversary we were able to go zip lining. It was a bucket list item for her. We are both afraid of heights so it made for an interesting time. We have only had a short 5 1/2 yrs together but they were the best years either of has had. My love for her will be eternal.
