Linda Hanko Bubar was a strong and determined woman practically from the day she was born. She was a firm believer in making lemonade when life handed you lemons. She loved to sew, scrapbook and most importantly, throw a great party. She faced her biggest challenge on Easter Sunday 2019 when instead of beginning a well deserved vacation she instead received the news that she had grade 4 glioblastoma. Not one for sympathy or self-pity, Linda’s motto was “I’m living with cancer, not dying from cancer”. She passed each deadline the doctors gave her by setting her own milestones to reach; the first being her youngest daughter’s college graduation in June 2020 and the last was her desire to participate and walk in the Cleveland Head for the Cure 5K in October 2020. Linda lost her fight peacefully on March 2, 2021 surrounded by those who loved her. Linda will be incredibly missed but we will continue to see her through her daughters, Jessica and Emily, as they both have so many of her wonderful qualities.
