Lori Jo Mines

Lori Jo Mines battled stage 4 glioblastoma like a boss for 3 years! She was originally diagnosed in April 2016 when she had a stroke. The doctors at the OSU James Comprehensive Cancer Center found 2 bleeding tumors in her brain. Through it all, the chemotherapy, the radiation and the multiple surgeries, Lori Jo had an amazing attitude! Her favorite saying was, ” I have cancer, but cancer does not have me!” After fighting for a long time, she went to be with the Lord at the age of 41 on May 14, 2019. I promised her that her death would not be in vain but there would be a purpose for her pain. Since then I have tried to honor her through the HFTC 5K’s, Brains for the Cure and raising awareness about Brain Cancer!
