Michelle McCallum

Michelle Renee McCallum was born on February 20, 1969, was diagnosed with brain cancer in July of 2014 and passed on September 27, 2015. She left behind two wonderful children, her son Robert Lile, III and daughter Santisha Bryant. She also left two Grandchildren, Layla 3 and Robert Lile, IV, 1 year. Michelle’s mother and father Ceola and Ronnie Merity, one brother Marvin McCallum, his wife Almareka, one sister Sheri Merity, 3 nephews, 3 nieces, and a host of friends and other relatives, who will forever miss her warm and beautiful smile, that would light up a room when she entered it. Michelle was a “Foodie,” she loved food! BUT she was very picky about how it looked on a plate, how it smelled, what amount of condiments or sauces went on it or what had to be on the side…the list goes on. As my friend rest in peace, I’ve often wondered how much, “Special Sauce” she’d eaten over the years, if you know what I mean??? 🙂 🙂 🙂 Michelle was diagnosed with Lupus when she was in her early 20’s shortly after the birth of her daughter. Since meeting her in 1995, she’s had a Kidney Transplant, 2 knee replacements, two surgeries, due to her dramatic weight gain and loss, due to the Steroids that were prescribed for her. There were several other issues that she endured, but she never complained. She would follow doctor’s orders and continue to enjoy life. We all loved her so much and although, we’ve suffered a great loss, we are at peace with the fact that she’s no longer suffering. She’s at rest and suffering no more. So we walk in “Team MiMi’s,” name today to honor her brave fight, her endurance, and most of all her Loving Spirit!!! :):):)
