In Remembrance

Re’Ana Mekaeil

Re’Ana was just like many other 9 year old girls – she loved Shopkins, art, unicorns, and glitter. Over the summer of 2017 her softball season was cut short after she was diagnosed with a germinoma brain tumor. With her 3 younger sisters by her side, Re’Ana fought for just 2 months before passing away unexpectedly due to a brain bleed. She is missed every day by her family, who continue to take care of her cat, Hermione. Re’Ana was always smiling and thinking about her sisters. Even when checking into the hospital for her brain surgery, when the receptionist asked if she wanted a sticker she asked if she could have 3 stickers to give to her sisters. She was endlessly kind, thoughtful, and loving. Re’Ana will always be remembered for her strong faith and her sweet spirit by those who love her.
