Ryan was a family man first and a soldier second. He served his country for 23 years and loved every minute of it. His two children were his life. He spent much of his free time volunteering with sports teams, girls scouts, their schools and even danced at his daughter’s dance school so he could spend time with them. He was so passionate about our marriage and other marriages. We enriched our marriage by sharing our life with other couples through Jefferson City Marriage Encounter. Ryan’s laugh was infectious, his smile lit up a room. He loved life like no other, you couldn’t help but be happy around him. He approached his cancer in just that way. With a smile and laughed to the very end. There were so many days we should have cried, but Ryan would have nothing to do with that. We always laughed. That is how I want him remembered, by his smile, laugh and true love for life.
