Sonia loved to dance, cook, and spend time with her 7 grandsons. She was a prayer warrior for anyone in need. She volunteered at her church and was an active member of a prayer group. Sonia was a retired RN, and worked the emergency room for her entire career, beginning in Chicago, IL and ending in Webster, TX at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center.

Sonia was a social butterfly. She loved to attend parties with her husband and cook for the parties as well. She was known for making the best leche flan.

Sonia was diagnosed with glioblastoma in October 2025 and ended her battle in March 2026. She has been deeply missed.
