Susan spread joy & love anywhere she went & in everything she did. During all of life’s challenges, she never lost her joy or faith. Susan was a teacher by trade & by nature. Although she mainly taught math & bible study, she instilled confidence, self-worth & love in anyone she taught. She opened her heart & her home to countless people, providing a safe space for so many. She was an avid fan of ice cream, chocolate, Star Wars, music, gardening, reading, crafting & much more.

In Nov ’19, she was diagnosed with GBM & given 6-18mos to live. But after a grueling 10mos of treatment, she made a miraculous recovery & then lived life to the fullest. Sadly, the GBM returned just before her 5yr diagnosis anniversary, & 10mos later she died at home peacefully, hands held by loved ones. Many visited & shared stories of how Susan changed or saved their lives. She will be loved & missed forever by her children, husband, grandkids, “bonus” kids, family, friends, church family, & all who knew her.
