5th Annual Omaha 5K Run/Walk

On behalf of everyone at the Head for the Cure Foundation, thank you for helping make the 5th annual Head for the Cure 5K Run/Walk – Omaha an amazing success!

It was a fantastic morning for our signature Head for the Cure 5K, and an unforgettable celebration of hope and optimism for brain cancer patients, their families, friends and supporters! With your help, we welcomed over 750 runners, walkers, volunteers, donors, sponsors and well wishers — most participating with one of the 35 Head for the Cure teams. Check out our Facebook page for photos from Sunday!

Thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who came out to support our cause.  Our events would not go on without the help of our volunteers and participants. We are so appreciative of each and every one of you!

What’s more, and while we are still counting, our event has grossed more than $55,000!
$16,000 over our previous Omaha record!

Donations, of course, continue to be welcomed. We will keep the Head for the Cure Omaha donation page open for another 60 days.  So, please invite your friends and family to support this great cause! Funds raised benefit Leap-For-A-Cure and the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative (BTTC).

Keeping the Faith Honorees:

In addition to all of our amazing survivors, we were so honored to recognize Craig HarrisonCasey McGuire, and Benjamin Ryan as our Keeping the Faith honorees.

These inspiring individuals are the essence of Head for the Cure. Their story is personal and special, and represents why we keep pushing to grow our cause every year in the fight to defeat brain cancer.
