Thank you, Central Texas 2016

On behalf of everyone at the Head for the Cure Foundation, thank you for helping make the 4th annual Head for the Cure 5K Run/Walk – Central Texas truly the best yet!

It was a beautiful spring morning for our signature Head for the Cure 5K!  And an unforgettable celebration of hope and optimism for brain cancer patients, their families, friends and supporters.

We welcomed a turnout of nearly 1600 runners, walkers, volunteers, donors, sponsors and well wishers — most participating with one of the 72 Head for the Cure teams supporting a loved one affected by brain cancer.

What’s more, and while we are still counting, our 4th annual Central Texas event has grossed over $170,000. We’ve grown our number of runners by about 20% (THANK YOU!), but we continue to need your help reaching our event goal of $185,000.   Help us reach our milestone goal!

Camp Mabry was filled with the team village, Kids’ Zone, food and live music! Special thanks to KidVenture and Round Rock Express for leading the Kids’ Zone and Treble Soul for playing music throughout the morning!

Keeping the Faith Honorees: Three extraordinary people were recognized as Keeping the Faith honorees.  These inspiring people are the essence of Head for the Cure.  Each story is personal and special, and they represent why we keep pushing to grow our cause every year in the fight to defeat brain cancer.    Please read their amazing stories.

Results from the race are available HERE, if you would like to check your time, and see how you finished among your age group.  A special HFTC congratulations to our overall 5k winners:
