Thank you, North Texas 2016!

On behalf of everyone at the Head for the Cure Foundation, thank you for helping make the 6th annual Head for the Cure 5K Run/Walk – North Texas truly the best yet.

It was a beautiful spring morning for our signature Head for the Cure 5K.  It was an unforgettable celebration of hope and optimism for brain cancer patients, their families, friends and supporters.

We welcomed a turnout of nearly 2,150 runners, walkers, volunteers, donors, sponsors and well wishers — most participating with one of the 90 Head for the Cure teams supporting a loved one affected by brain cancer.

What’s more, and while we are still counting, our 6th annual North Texas event has grossed over $158,000. We’ve grown our number of runners by about 10% (THANK YOU!), and our fundraising goal remains in reach. Please consider one last ask for donations to help us reach our new goal

Bailey Heard will continue to donate 20% of her sales to Head for the Cure through the end of May when you use the promo code (headforthecure). Head to http://www.ellieproject.com to purchase a book or stationary.

Oak Point Amphitheatre was filled with the team village, Kids’ Zone, food and live music! Special thanks to Camp Gladiator for leading the Kids’ Zone and DJ Cone for playing music throughout the morning!

Keeping the Faith Honorees: Eight extraordinary people were recognized as Keeping the Faith honorees.  These inspiring people are the essence of Head for the Cure.  Each story is personal and special, and they represent why we keep pushing to grow our cause every year in the fight to defeat brain cancer.
