Head for the Cure exists to build awareness, raise funds and ignite hope for all who have been touched by this terrible disease. Our events serve as a mechanism to fight back, honor loved one’s memories and provide inspiration to those who are in the middle of their journey with a brain tumor. These events are not only crucial to our foundation but are also milestones and celebrations for the brain tumor community.
We always want to ensure the safety of our supporters, especially those who have weakened immune systems like our brain tumor survivors. The developments surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic are changing daily. As we approach each 5K event, we are working with local partners in each community to learn if and how the virus may change aspects of the event. Most of our events are months away, and we are hopeful these concerns will subside as the year progresses.
We will continue to stay abreast of these situations on an event by event basis. We will send any updates via email and social media. At any point, please contact Jenna Heilman, Executive Director, with any questions or concerns at jenna@headforthecure.org.
Whether we host these 5K events virtually or in person, one thing continues to propel all of us: the need to raise funds to support brain tumor clinical research and patient programs is ever increasing! We need your support in order to make an impact in this fight against brain cancer. Please continue to register and donate to these events that matter to the hundreds of thousands of people who are living with a brain tumor.
