John joined WDAF-TV FOX 4 News in 1994 as a weekend morning anchor/reporter. He anchored FOX 4’s live coverage of the O.J. Simpson trial, and then joined “FOX 4 News at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.” as a co-anchor. John has also served as an investigative and special projects reporter, winning a variety of awards for anchoring and reporting including NATAS Regional Emmy’s.
Prior to arriving in Kansas City, John reported and anchored at WIBW-TV in Topeka, KS and KSNW-TV in Wichita, KS.
John is both a journalism and law graduate from the University of Kansas Schools of Journalism and Law.
He became involved with Head for the Cure, first as an emcee for the annual 5K, and then as a board member, currently serving on the national HFTC Foundation Board. He continues his emcee duties at the Kansas City Metro 5K each year.
