Maggie a graduate of Truman State University with a degree in Public Communication and minor in Women’s & Gender Studies. She is new to Kansas City and moved to the metro in 2019 from the Lake of the Ozarks. Coming from a resource-sparse region in rural Missouri, Maggie always knew she wanted to spend her professional career addressing inequalities within her community. She began her career doing development work for a local health care non profit organization, and later was called to fundraise for cancer research after her mother was diagnosed with cancer in late 2020.

During Maggie’s free time, she loves to snuggle her rescue dog, King Maxi, binge true crime documentaries and podcasts, and do yoga.
