Register now for the Ninth Annual Head for the Cure 5K – Metro KC. The flagship event that is one of KC’s largest 5Ks will be Sunday, August 28, 2011, at 8 a.m.
The flat, self-contained course is USATF-certified and winds through the beautiful tree-lined Corporate Woods campus in Overland Park. Awards will be given to the overall winners and top finishers in all age categories for both men and women.
Last year, more than 4,500 runners, walkers, family supporters, sponsors and charitable vendors participated at Head for the Cure 5K – Metro KC. For the past nine years, Head for the Cure has raised more than $1.3 million to help find a cure for brain cancer through its 5K events. This year’s celebration of lives and legacies in the fight against brain cancer will surely be the best one yet!
