Dear friends of Head for the Cure,
On behalf of all of us at the Head for the Cure Foundation, thank you for helping make the 2nd annual Head for the Cure 5K Run/Walk – Chicago such a successful and inspiring event.
We welcomed a turnout of over 400 runners, walkers, volunteers, donors, sponsors and well wishers — most participating with one of the 27 Head for the Cure teams supporting a loved one whose life has been impacted by brain cancer.
What’s more, and while we are still counting, our 2nd Annual Head for the Cure – Chicago event raised over $60,000, but let’s not stop here. We are SO CLOSE TO $70,000!! Help us reach our milestone goal!
Keeping the Faith Honorees: One extraordinary person was recognized as Keeping the Faith honoree. This inspiring person is the essence of Head for the Cure. Each Keeping the Faith story is personal and special, and they represent why we keep pushing to grow our cause every year in the fight to defeat brain cancer. Please read her amazing story, and you will clearly understand why they each represent the essence of Head for the Cure!

Donations, of course, continue to be welcome. We will keep the Head for the Cure Chicago donation page open for another 60 days. So, please invite your friends and family to support this great cause and help us surpass our goal of $70,000 to help fund brain cancer research. Funds raised from Head for the Cure Chicago are directed to the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative (BTTC), and, locally, to Rush University Medical Center, and Northwestern Medicine.
